    Why Women's Art Visibility Matters

    Inequality is real

    13%

Only 13% of living artists represented by U.S. galleries are women.

    Artnet Intelligence Report (2023)

It's not lack of talent, it's lack of visibility

    2%

Women artists represent only 2% of the market. Museas exists to reverse that history.

Artprice Global Art Market Report (2024)

Walking through your city means being overlooked

    87%

87% of artists in major museum collections are men. Women's art remains systematically invisible.

    Who Created Museas?

    Aidy Méndez, fundadora de Museas

    Aidy Méndez

Museas was born from my own frustration while walking through cities and realizing how invisible women's cultural contributions are. As a feminist and art lover, I wondered—just like many others—: Where are the murals by women? Which galleries and museums include women artists? Where can we find spaces that truly reflect our stories?
